Redlands Campus Facilities

Redlands Campus is blessed with excellent facilities to support the well-rounded education of our students.

In addition to carpeted general classrooms there are:

  • Special facilities for Art, Science, Technology Studies, Music (including a number of practice rooms), Hospitality (including access to the commercial kitchen which serves meals to boarders).
  • Computer facilities: Our campus enables student learning by encouraging active and collaborative learning. The learning plazas, equipped with comfortable chairs and cushions provide a flexible learning space and the opportunity for social and intellectual interaction. Our integrated technology provides access to a vast array of tools and devices, eg. wireless network and Internet access, fibre optic connection, virtualisation, laptops, desktops, digital video, still cameras and interactive whiteboards and as such ensure that the classroom is the engine room for inspired and motivated learning.College Chapel which features an excellent pipe organ and data projector facilities.
  • The administration building - the beautiful, heritage-listed "Redlands" built in 1889.
  • The multi-purpose gymnasium. This can accommodate four badminton courts, three volleyball courts or one full-sized basketball court. It also acts as an Assembly Hall, and its facilities include an extensive lighting and sound system, a larger than normal stage and dressing rooms.
  • Indoor heated swimming pool.
  • Outside sporting facilities include cricket practice wickets, 5 ovals, 9 tennis courts, volleyball courts and multi-purpose courts.

Early Childhood Centre

  • Open plan design to allow engagement in a wide range of student-lead activities promoting creative learning
  • Sensory garden and well-designed outdoor area for imaginative play

Classrooms

  • Classrooms are fully air conditioned for student and teacher comfort
  • Classrooms are spacious, carpeted and well-furnished and resourced
  • Classrooms are equipped with TVs, DVDs and Interactive Whiteboards (IWBs), as well as computers

Outdoor Areas

  • To develop your child’s sporting skills we provide tennis, basketball, netball and volleyball courts, also cricket practice nets and an athletic oval
  • Our Redlands Campus allows us the opportunity to make use of our gymnasium, chapel, heated swimming pool and other sporting facilities
  • A shaded eating area leads to well maintained gardens and playground equipment. This area is fully paved with tables and seating for the comfort of all users
  • The playground has climbing equipment and shaded sandpit area

Resource Centre

  • The hub of the school is a modern architecturally designed resource centre which utilises the latest technologies

Multi-purpose Centre

  • 'The Shed' is quite unique with opportunities for students to develop skills in indoor sports, as well as to nurture Concordia Primary’s outstanding performing arts program
  • Used for a wide variety of purposes including worship, assemblies, arts performances, discos and concerts
  • Contains a large, modern, well equipped canteen

Computer Facilities
Computer literacy along with knowledge and skills in Information and Communication Technologies is important for education today. Our computer program provides students from Prep to Year 6 to engage in weekly computer lessons.

Air conditioned lab

  • Equipped with desktops and laptops for classroom use
  • Internet access is available for all students for research and projects

Our resource centre creates a space for memorable learning experiences for all students that make their learning exciting. It provides students with opportunities to work and learn independently while providing teachers with time for small group instruction. This centre has a large screen TV, interactive whiteboard with powerful speakers and remotely controlled blinds to create a comfortable learning environment. All classrooms facilitate meaningful instruction by integrating ICT in all key learning areas. This is accomplished with the aid of fibre optic connection, wireless technology, interactive whiteboards, desktops and laptops.

Martin Luther Primary Campus Facilities

Early Childhood Centre

  • A community kindergarten run by QLECS (Queensland Lutheran Early Childhood Services) is situated within the grounds of MLPC

  • Front Row Pro audio systems are installed in all classrooms
  • Undercover breezeway connects classrooms
  • All classrooms are air conditioned with access to well-maintained gardens

  • Specialised facilities including sporting ovals, handball courts, multi-purpose court, cricket pitch and nets

Resource Centre and Discovery Centre

  • Both centres are equipped with IWBs (Interactive Whiteboards)

  • Private meeting room with presentation facilities

Hall

  • Large hall with stage
  • Outside School Hours Care and Vacation Care located in hall
  • Used to facilitate choir, instrumental music, band practice and musicals

Computer Facilities
Logo of Australian Government DEEWROur resource centre creates a space for collaborative and cooperative learning experiences for all students that enter this learning space. The students are provided with an opportunity to learn within a community, be part of a communicative and collaborative learning process and whilst at the same time have at its heart a social process. The resource centre is well equipped with wireless technology, interactive whiteboards and laptops. The teachers are combining technology, pedagogy and physical space on the campus to generate a climate for engaged students. This is achieved by the discovery lab with an interactive whiteboard as well as all classes actively using the FrontRow microphone sound system to deliver their lessons.
