As a primary school campus we need to provide an education to develop the whole person and equip children with skills for life in our rapidly changing world.
We believe it is important to provide our students with a strong Christian philosophy, a comprehensive Curriculum, the use of a wide variety of classroom resources, excellent facilities and a safe and caring environment to enhance their learning opportunities. We want our students to develop a love of learning, enquiring minds and become logical, lateral and independent thinkers but more importantly to become active and caring members of a community. Our aim is for all students to recognise their own unique gifts and talents and develop them to their potential.

Kindy
Martin Luther Community Kindergarten is co-located on our campus and offers two groups, a three day group and a two day group between 9.00am and 2.30pm. Kindy offers a ‘play based’ curriculum addressing individual needs and interests while encouraging curiosity and an inquiring mind for those children who are 3 years of age by the 30 June the year prior to commencing Kindy.
Martin Luther Community Kindy is affiliated with the Crèche & Kindergarten Association and managed by Queensland Lutheran Early Childhood Services (QLECS). For further information and enrolment enquiries phone 4613 5610.
Prep
Prep offers an extremely well developed Curriculum catering to children’s interests and abilities. It offers a 5 day program from 8.30am until 3.10pm each day. Our fully integrated Prep program values the needs of each individual child. This can be catered for more easily by having a highly qualified teacher and full time teaching assistant. Prep students also enjoy specialist Music, Library, Christian Studies and swimming programs.
Year 1 Transition Program
To familiarise Prep children with the many aspects of our campus, a very successful Year 1 transition program is provided for all those children who are enrolled for Year 1.
This program is offered for one afternoon each week for 6 weeks in Term 4. The program offers activities that help children to become familiar with the school and their Year 1 classroom. It also enables the Year 1 teacher to become aware of children’s abilities in areas of fine and gross motor skills and language processing.

Buddy system
Buddy networks operate on various levels. Year 1 and 6 students adopt
buddies, with the older students helping with reading, computer and
playground activities. Year 1 and 2 students regularly share activities,
as do Years 3 - 4 and Years 5 - 6.
Outside School Hours Care
Martin Luther Primary Campus offers a highly regarded Outside School
Hours Care program which operates from 3.10pm until 6.00pm Monday to
Friday. During School Holidays it operates between 7.30am and 6.00pm.
The program caters for children’s needs for recreation, relaxation,
friendship and fun. This service is provided to assist parents who have
