Concordia Lutheran College has welcomed Mr Jamie Pukallus as the Director of Campus at Stephen Street Campus.

Jamie comes to us from the State education system, most recently as a Deputy Principal at Highfields State Secondary College.

"I am confident that my experiences in education over the past 17 years will allow me to contribute positively to the journey ahead at Concordia,” says Jamie.

“However, as an educator, I believe that our learning is never over, and I seek every day to draw on the knowledge and expertise of those around me to make the best and most informed decisions I can for the benefit of all students.”

As a Christian and member of the Lutheran Church, Jamie is a great advocate for faith-based learning and its associated values.

“Education has the moral imperative to foster the development of the whole child, and in my only few short days in the role of Director of Campus, I can see the amazing work being undertaken by staff to grow each child to reach their full potential,” says Jamie.

“Experiences like the Year 9 Googa camp are experiences that have lifelong value and build resilience and character that can be drawn on in most trying times.”

Jamie's advice to all students is to make the most of every opportunity given to them.

"In 20 years, you may not remember much about your day-to-day schooling, but you will remember the times being part of the College culture, whether it be participating in camps, sport, The Arts or other endeavours...learning is not a spectator sport."

Jamie says he is extremely excited about being part of the strong Concordia community.

“The 75th anniversary celebrations highlighted to me the rich sense of history and tradition within the College,” he says.

“It has been very humbling to have been received so positively and sincerely by the Concordia community.

“I look forward to being part of the Concordia family and celebrating what I know will be the many achievements and milestones ahead.”
