Year 7 can be a challenging leap, socially, emotionally, and academically. At Concordia, we make the transition seamless with small class sizes, strong pastoral care, and a purposeful Middle College approach. Our dedicated Year 7 teachers provide tailored academic support while fostering resilience, confidence and connection. Weekly wellbeing programs, leadership opportunities, and co-curricular activities help new students build friendships and settle into high school life with ease. Parents often tell us it’s where their child finally felt like they belonged.

What scholarships are available at Concordia Lutheran College?

We offer a wide range of scholarships designed to support students who show excellence in academics, sport, music or the performing arts. Scholarships are available for students entering Years 7 to 10 and can offer up to 50% off tuition fees. Our scholarship program is open to new and current families, with a particular focus on supporting rural students from Queensland, New South Wales, and the Northern Territory who might not otherwise have access to these opportunities. Applications will open in Term 4.

How do I apply for a scholarship at Concordia?

Scholarship applications can be submitted directly through our website. Parents will need to complete an online form and upload supporting documents, including school reports and student achievements. Selected applicants will be invited to sit a scholarship test or audition (depending on the scholarship type). Key dates for applications and examinations are listed on our Scholarships page. With limited placements available, we encourage families to apply early, especially those from rural and remote areas.

Can rural and remote families apply for enrolment or boarding?

Absolutely. Concordia Lutheran College has a long history of supporting rural and regional families from across Queensland, New South Wales, and the Northern Territory. Our boarding school provides a stable and welcoming environment for students whose families live on the land or in remote communities. We also offer generous scholarship opportunities to help ease the cost of education for rural families. With strong ties to agricultural programs, leadership development, and values-based teaching, Concordia is proud to be a trusted option for country families.

What co-curricular opportunities does Concordia offer?

Concordia’s co-curricular program is where students discover their passions and develop real-world skills beyond the classroom. From competitive sport and debating to music ensembles, dance, theatre, robotics, agriculture, and service leadership, there’s something for every child. Participation in co-curriculars is strongly encouraged from Prep through to Year 12, with many of our scholarship students excelling in multiple areas. These experiences help students grow in confidence, build friendships, and stand out when applying for universities or future opportunities.
