Hume Street Kindergarten Queensland Winners in STEM Competition

Concordia Lutheran College Hume Street Campus has today been named the State Winner of the Little Scientists Australia Early STEM Award for 2020. Hume Street Campus Service Leader Melissa Giles said their winning project called ‘Futuristic Cities’ was inspired by the Space X launch earlier this year.

Agricultural Practices added to Senior Curriculum

Concordia Lutheran College has added Agricultural Practices to the list of subjects available for students commencing Year 11 from this year. The introduction of the subject, which will flow through to Year 12 in 2021 and beyond, recognises the strong desire of many students to develop their skills in agriculture.

Concordia honours academic success at Scholars Assembly

Concordia Lutheran College welcomed back the top performing students from the Class of 2019 for the annual Scholars Assembly which recognises academic achievement. Students from Years 7 to 12 enjoyed a special presentation from Class of 1998 Old Scholar Mr Brett Humphrey who spoke about his career in the engineering industry.

Concordia students make significant gains in NAPLAN results

Concordia Lutheran College has been identified by the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority as having a “substantially above average gain” in NAPLAN results as students progressed from Year 3 to 5 and Year 7 to 9 from 2016 to 2018.
