JC On the Move
Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate in the Parent Survey — we really appreciate your input and the valuable insights you have shared. We would like to introduce this space as a regular feature, where each week we will respond to some of the questions raised in the survey, as well as any new questions that arise as we move closer to the transition. Our aim is to keep communication open, provide clarity, and ensure everyone feels informed and supported throughout this process. We are excited to share some photos of our new Junior College below.
Q: What will the new campus be called?
A: Our two names will be the Junior College and Secondary College.
Q: Why are the three Junior Campuses being brought together?
A: The move to a single Junior College brings all junior students and staff together in purpose‑built facilities. This allows for stronger collaboration, consistent programs, shared resources, and a connected Junior College identity, while still honouring the histories and traditions of each campus.
Q: Why is the move happening mid‑year rather than at the start of a school year?
A: The timing aligns with the completion of the new facilities. While we recognise mid‑year transitions can feel disruptive, careful planning is in place to prioritise student wellbeing, continuity of learning, and familiarity wherever possible.
Q: When will the move occur?
A: The move is planned for the start of Semester 2, 2026. Key transition dates, visits, and orientation opportunities will be shared clearly with families and staff as they are confirmed.

Friday Sport - Term 1
Last Friday saw the culmination of our primary sports fixtures for term 1, in which we participated in Girl's Touch football, Mixed Tennis and Boys' AFL. Our Concordia teams performed exceptionally well. Our Concordia students demonstrated each week fantastic sportsmanship, coming away with some great results and improving each week with their skills and knowledge.
Many thanks to everyone who assisted in some way to give our students the opportunity to play their chosen sport. From all reports and watching the students each week, you can be assured lasting memories were made along the way. A special mention to our couching team: Paul Baker, John Trappett, Belinda McManus, Nick Morgan, Darryl Fry, Niel Oosthuizen and Mackenzie Weier. I loved the feedback and game reports from both staff and students each week. A big thank you to the people behind the scenes, such as our admin staff and bus drivers, who make sure students get to where they need to be. Your flexibility is greatly appreciated.
Next term, there is no Friday Interschool sport, instead our focus will shift to preparing for our Interhouse Track and Field on Friday afternoons, along with preparation for the annual Ball Games carnival, which will be held late in term 2.

Severe Egg and Nut Allergies in our Community
We'd like to remind you of the allergies of some of our students and how we can work together to support them. We do have students with severe allergies to nuts and to egg.
It is vital for us to create an environment where everyone feels included and protected. We would like to kindly ask for your cooperation and understanding as we work together to accommodate these students' needs and ensure their safety.
Here are a couple of ways you are able to assist us.
- Please avoid bringing nut items, boiled eggs, mayonnaise and egg or sandwiches to school.
- If you do include these items in your students' lunch on any given day, please email your classroom teacher so that we can take appropriate action to keep our little person safe.
- If your child has eggs before school, can you please ensure that they wash their hands well before entering school grounds.
- As a school community, this is an opportunity to foster an atmosphere of empathy and support and teach our children about the importance of inclusivity and understanding. This will not only benefit the students with allergies but will also create a more compassionate environment for everyone.
- In the event of an allergic reaction, our staff members are trained to respond promptly and effectively. We have protocols in place to handle such situations and your child’s safety remains our top priority.
By working together as a community, we can create a safe and welcoming environment for all our students, including those with special dietary needs. Your cooperation and support are greatly appreciated. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
