Dear Parents and Caregivers

Several significant events over the past week have affirmed the expectations, pastoral care, working partnerships and servant hearts which our community displays week in and week out. Congratulations are in order when I reflect on the Stephen Street Campus Swimming Carnival. The participation numbers and encouragement by our Year 12 students of others is some of the best I have witnessed. Well done to all of you and thank you for being such great role models on the day. Today we also had the opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate our Age Group Champions at their assembly. We now look forward to the upcoming QCIS Swimming Carnival where a full Senior Swimming Team can test their metal.

Harmony Day

Friday 17 March, HSC will celebrate Harmony Day with a shared long picnic lunch. We would like to invite families to bring a plate of your favourite family food and would welcome you to come and join us as well. You are welcome to bring in a cultural food, fruit, sandwiches, whatever is something that is enjoyed by your family. Please be mindful of our ‘no nuts’ policy. We will share this lunch at 10.45am. Foods may be delivered to the tuckshop. We will have some sources of being able to keep foods warm.

HSC Student Lunches

Thank you, Parents, for providing amazing lunches for your students. We love to see so many healthy options for our students. A couple of things you might like to be aware of:

  • We do encourage students to take uneaten food home so that you can gauge and adjust accordingly how much is the right amount of food each day and if there is something that they do not like. This includes tuckshop.
  • Hume Street Campus have their main lunch at 1st break. We encourage our students to eat their ‘sandwich’ type foods and their healthy options at first break with the remainder being eaten at 2nd break. Please consider this when ordering tuckshop.

HSC Tuckshop Orders

At HSC, Tuckshop is held on a Thursday. All orders are to be completed online at My Student Account by 3pm each Wednesday. Please notify Reception by 9am on Thursday if your child is absent and we will cancel their order. Tuckshop will finish in Week 9.
