2 Campuses – 1 Day. 21st July! JC Band Tour
On Monday, our 12 Junior College Concert Band students embarked on a two-campus tour in preparation for their upcoming performance at the Toowoomba Eisteddfod next week.
While they’re used to rehearsing and performing alongside our Stephen Street students, today was a real-world test of independence without the older students to guide them, and they stepped up with confidence and maturity. Proving that age is no barrier when you are passionate about something!
Our Junior Campus students successfully navigated:
• Out-of-routine drop-offs
• Sound checks
• Full stage setups and pack-downs
• Transfers between campuses
• And performing in two completely different venues in front of large audiences!
They were challenged and learned valuable lessons in organisation, teamwork, and performing under pressure. Our students rose to every challenge, adapting to each environment with focus and professionalism.
We are incredibly proud of their efforts and can’t wait to see them shine at the Eisteddfod next week!
Agriculture Show Team
We kindly invite you to attend an important meeting about our 2026 Agriculture Show Team and the training sessions scheduled to begin in Term 4, 2025.

Kokoda Challenge
This weekend, we had our Kokoda Challenge event, which was a great success. Once again, I am amazed by the strength, resilience, and grit displayed by our students. Our teams started early Saturday morning, arriving at 6 a.m. for a 7 a.m. start, to walk a continuous 96 km throughout the night. Parents were fantastic, providing food, comfort, and encouragement. By the end, we all became excellent strappers!
The weekend was truly memorable, with some students returning home with blisters as badges of honour from their extraordinary achievement. The event was skillfully led by Brett Richards and Theresa Evans, whose leadership and unwavering commitment were vital to the success of the teams. They faced numerous challenges along the way, taking on the most demanding tasks to ensure everything went smoothly.
I would also like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Lexi Morton, who played a pivotal role in organising every aspect of the event. Her tireless efforts went beyond planning; she was an invaluable resource for both parents and students throughout the gruelling 39-hour experience, providing support and assistance every step of the way.

There were some extremely close results in many age divisions, with some going down to the wire, once all points were collated. Also well done to our students who broke records on the day, a fantastic achievement!
