Congratulations to Tilda Jones and Liam Edwards for making it to the finals of the Prime Beef Judges competition at our very first EKKA Show! Tilda received a high commendation in the 11-13 age group, while Liam was highly commended in the 16-18 age group. The competition was fierce, with top contenders from across the state participating. They not only had to present in front of thousands at the Ekka, but their performances were also live-streamed. Well done to both!
Celebrating Our Instrumental Performers – Toowoomba Eisteddfod
Congratulations to all the Concordia students who participated in the instrumental solo and small group sections of the Toowoomba Eisteddfod. It’s inspiring to see so many students embracing this opportunity and representing Concordia with dedication and passion.
Over the past two years, we’ve seen remarkable growth in both the number of participants and the awards received. This is an exciting reflection of the enthusiasm and talent within our music program.
We are thrilled to share that many of our students achieved placings, highlighting the depth of talent in our College community. Most importantly, we are incredibly proud of every student who demonstrated the courage to register independently and perform in such a competitive and public setting.
Well done to all!

If your student is not comfortable coming in costume, they are welcome to wear their uniform. Please leave all weapons at home.

We’re excited to announce that bookings are now open for our upcoming See You in September Open Mornings Tours at Concordia Lutheran College!
You’ll get a closer look at our expanding programs, meet key staff and see the progress on our Master Plan, including new facilities that are shaping the future of learning at Concordia. We are expecting Stage 1 to be finished very soon!

JC Prep Ipswich Nature Centre Excursion - Wednesday 13 August
We are very excited to let you know that on Wednesday 13 August, we will be going to Ipswich Nature Centre for our 2025 excursion. As part of our Biological Sciences Unit, the Preps are exploring the external features of plants and animals.
If you haven't already done so, please go to Parent Lounge as soon as possible and provide permission for your student to attend this excursion.

JC Year 3 Camp Cooby - 21 & 22 August
On Thursday 21 August to Friday 22 August, our JC Year 3 students will be attending their first camp at Camp Cooby. Please find attached a Parent Information Letter and Packing List for the camp.
Please go to Parent Lounge and provide permission for your student to attend this excursion by Friday 1 August.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
After submitting your permission, please check and ensure your Parent Lounge portal is up-to-date regarding your child’s Emergency Contact Info, Medical Conditions and Food Allergies/Dietary Requirements.

JC Year 6 Cairns Trip - 8 - 12 September
On Monday 8 September to Friday 12 September our Junior College Year 6 students will be attending the exciting Cairns Trip. Please find attached Parent Information letter and packing list.
All students are to be dropped at Hume Street Campus by 5.45am for a 6.15am departure.
