Master Plan - Frequently asked Questions
What are we getting at the new campus in 2025?
Essentially, you’ll be getting a stronger cultural and educational experience for your children. Unifying on one campus will enable our philosophy of contemporary learning with innovative purpose-built facilities. By 2025 the new Junior Learning Centre and Early Learning Centre will be constructed and students will move in. Refer to the poster “An integrated campus provides a range of benefits” for extended points.
With students co-located the children will have more of an opportunity to “find their people”.
What is the landscaping plan?
Detailed landscaping is still to be developed. The intent is for thoughtfully landscaped outdoor areas that create beautiful spaces for our children to play and learn in. Plantings will be suitable to the Toowoomba climate.

All Concordia Lutheran College co-curricular ensembles have had fantastic success at the Toowoomba Eisteddfod!
The SSC results are as followed:
1st Place (Spirit of Eisteddfod Shield) – Secondary School B Grade Concert Band – “Concordia Lutheran College Concert Band” Conductor Ms Christina Marangelli
2nd Place – Secondary School B Grade Stage Band – “Concordia Lutheran College Big Band” Conductor Ms Christina Marangelli
Highly Commended – Secondary Woodwind or Brass Ensemble – “Concordia Lutheran College Flutes” Conductor Mrs Lauren Crighton

CLC Book Week
This year's theme is ‘Read, grow, inspire,’ which raises some wonderful ideas and imagery:

We look forward to seeing what creative costumes our students (and staff!) come up with for book week. It is always an exciting and fun time of the year.
Just remember that book week is about connecting students with books and inspiring enthusiasm and passion for reading. Costumes definitely don’t have to be expensive or complicated! They can be made out of things you find around the house, or from what is already in their wardrobe.

JC Year 3 Koojarewon Camp - 17 August
On Thursday 17 August 2023, our JC Year 3 students will be attending their first camp at the Koojarewon Youth Camp, Highfields. Please find attached a Parent Information Letter and Packing List for the camp.
Date: Thursday 17 to Friday 18 August
Transport: Bus
- All students are to be dropped at Hume Street Campus by 8.30am. Children will be supervised by a teacher from 8am.
- Students will depart Koojarewon Youth Camp at 1.30pm on Friday and returning to Hume Street Campus for pick up by parents from approx. 2.15pm.
- Parking for both drop off and pick up is on the sports oval.

JC Year 1 Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary Excursion - 11 August
On Friday 11 August, the JC Year 1 students will be attending an excursion to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary (LPKS).
Please note the travel details as outlined in the attached Parent Information Letter.
- Students are required to be dropped at the Hume Street Campus by 7.15am for a 7.30am departure.
- Students will return to their campus for a normal school pick up.

JC Year 6 Cairns Trip - Great Barrier Reef Education Experience Program
Our JC Year 6 class will depart and head to Cairns in September.
To assist families in meeting the cost of the excursion, the Queensland Government, through the Great Barrier Reef Education Experience Program, provided a subsidy to the school of $150.00 per student who will be attending the excursion.
We wish all of our Year 6 students, their teachers and our parent helpers, a safe trip. We look forward to following them each day through their Seesaw blogs.
Sports News and Term 3 Update
Friday Sport
Over the past two Fridays our students have been participating in the Inter-School Sport competition in both Boys and Girls Soccer, Boys Rugby, and Girls Netball. The students are enjoying the experience of competing with their mates in the initial weeks of games. Well done to all. I look forward to the weeks ahead and hearing the results of all these games to follow.
AFL “Auskick” Programs
Another program offered to our students currently, is the ever popular “Auskick” program that is in its third week. These are held after school on Tuesdays at WSC and Wednesdays at HSC. This is an initiative by AFL targeting grassroots development and participation of Primary aged students and runs for 6 weeks. Both campuses have recorded very strong numbers in attendance with these programs.
It has been fantastic hearing glowing reports about the the students’ involvement in these sessions and their competitiveness in a host of modified games and challenging drills. Well done!
JC Year 6 Cairns Trip
On Monday 4 September to Friday 8 September our JC Year 6 students will be attending the exciting Cairns Trip. Please find attached Parent Information letter and packing list.
All students are to be dropped at Hume Street Campus by 6am for a 6.45am departure.

Recent Sports Results & Achievements
QCIS Athletics Carnival
On Monday our students competed in the QCIS Track and Field competition, the last of the three championship competitions for the QCIS Association. Our 10–19-year-old team gave it their all and emerged victorious, winning the percentage trophy and finishing second in the overall points. An incredible team effort.

I feel blessed to be able to come to work and view a beautiful sunrise from the office window. Today, an especially beautifully one for many to enjoy as our students boarded the bus to Scots College, Warrick for the QCIS meet.
