Dear Parents and Caregivers

I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge our Year 12 students on how well they have embraced and applied themselves so well to the Mock Exams experience which they are currently going through. The “mocks” provide our Senior students with a wonderful opportunity to fine-tune and revisit areas of their learning programs and preparation for the external exams in Term 4 – well done to all of you! This process also gives the Year 12 teachers the opportunity to reflect on, as well as refine, aspects of the students’ learning programs.

Thank you, parents, for the ongoing support and encouragement of your student as they begin to wrap-up this chapter of their time at school. Concordia will also be hosting a Year 12 External Exam Holiday Preparation Program for all our Year 12s in the upcoming term break. Thank you to those staff members who have committed to this initiative. Parents, please familiarise yourself with this preparation program and schedule.

From the College Pastor

Noticing the world around us…

In our chapels this week we looked at the helmet of salvation as part of the armour God provides for our protection. Students noted that our heads are fairly important, not just to keep the rain from falling into our necks but also for thinking, for making decisions and for guiding our bodies to do good things. Our heads, of course, also contain our eyes, ears, mouth and nose - the major senses with which we perceive our world and interact with it.
