Community News
Discover Concordia at the Senior College with Our Head of College Tours. Join our Head of College, Anton Prinsloo, for a personalised tour of Concordia Lutheran College Senior College on Tuesday, 28 October. These small group tours are the perfect opportunity to see our vibrant learning community in action and experience what makes Concordia such a special place.
During your tour, you will explore our facilities across the campus while learning about our educational approach and our “With One Heart” philosophy. You will hear firsthand about the exciting Master Plan developments currently underway and see how these projects are shaping the future of our College.
Highlights of the tour include visits to key areas such as Agriculture, The Hive (innovation and design), Performing Arts, Sport, Hospitality and Science.
Along the way, you will also have the chance to meet some of our passionate teachers, who will share how they support students to grow academically, socially and personally.
This event is especially valuable for families considering enrolment in Year 7, with the opportunity to ask questions, gain insights and see the Senior College campus in action.
Spaces are limited to ensure a personal experience, so we encourage you to register early.

Staff Appreciation Day - Friday 31 October
Staff Appreciation Day – Friday 31 October
On Friday 31 October, we will be celebrating Staff Appreciation Day — a special opportunity to recognise the wonderful work our staff do each and every day. We invite families to help their children write a card or letter for a staff member who has made a difference in their school journey. These can be handed in at Reception to be distributed on the day or delivered personally by students on the day. Your kind words and messages of thanks mean so much and help make the day truly special.
Art Show Update
Over the years, our Concordia Art Show has been a wonderful celebration of creativity, colour, and imagination across our school community. The event showcases the incredible artistic talents of our students and the joy they find in expressing themselves through art.
This year, we have decided to make the Art Show a biennial event, meaning it will now be held every second year. This change will allow even more time for students to explore different artistic techniques and create a broader range of work to share and celebrate.
While we won’t be hosting the Art Show in 2025, we are already looking forward to bringing it back in 2026, when our students’ creativity will once again take centre stage.
Thank you for your ongoing support of the arts at Concordia. We can’t wait to share another inspiring showcase with you in the near future.
JC Christmas for the Bush
It has become a tradition in our Junior College to support the amazing work of Care Outreach by contributing to their Christmas For The Bush program.
Care Outreach has been supporting outback families for over 30 years. Christmas for the Bush is an annual event, delivering Christmas hampers and gifts to struggling families in rural and remote regions. Farming families work incredibly hard. Loss of income, isolation and depression are some of the issues these families deal with on a daily basis. Care Outreach works to bring encouragement, support and hope to farming families in need.
In Term 4, the Junior College is again supporting Care Outreach with their Christmas for the Bush appeal. You can help by donating...
- Non-perishable food and Christmas treats
- Toys and family gifts
- Toiletries
- Pre-paid visa cards
Donation baskets have been placed in every classroom. 100% goes to our farmers! For specific needs, please visit Care Outreach and click on the 'Christmas for the Bush' tab.
Care Outreach are excited to have our support again this year, and we look forward to assisting their Christmas for the Bush campaign. Thank you for considering this worthwhile appeal.
Christmas for the Bush will conclude with a Junior College Chapel Service lead by our Year 1 students in the SSC Chapel on Friday 7 November at 9.30am. Everyone is invited to come along.
