Learning about the Seasons - Spring
Discover the four seasons - Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter - through the use of these fun collages. This page focuses on Spring. There are opportunities to extend learning for students who show an interest in this topic.
Spring Collage Artwork
Learning Intentions:
Students will know the difference between the four seasons and be able to describe what each season is known for. Students will also develop their fine motor skills through art.

- Yellow or white paper (we purchased a MontMarte book of 120 sheets with red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple from a discount store for $6)
- Glue
- Pens, pencils or crayons
- Flower cutouts (optional)
- Letter stamps (optional)
Method
- Take a yellow or white piece of paper as the background and draw green lines for flower stems.
- Using the green pen, draw lots of little lines on the ground to look like grass.
- Using the glue, stick the flower cutouts to the top of each stem.
- Using the letter stamps, stamp the word SPRING onto the picture.
Options
- If you don't have flower cut outs, you can draw flowers or cut out pieces of coloured paper in the shape of a flower.
